CHALLENGE
Modernizing leadership selection to support operational continuity and mission readiness
An intelligence agency dedicated to protecting the American people and upholding the U.S. Constitution faced challenges in its leadership selection and development processes. With dozens of field offices across the country, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) experienced inconsistencies in hiring, evaluation and leadership development practices. In high-performing organizations, these processes are effective, repeatable and supported by agency culture. To meet its goals, the agency needed to assess its leadership development, selection and evaluation processes and examine the future pipeline of leaders.
